Unlocked/Datgloi is an album of 10 songs, created by 10 different communities, working with 5 Live Music Now musicians, over 5 Welsh counties, strengthening connections with their local area through sung stories of local heritage.

This instrumental track was created in response to residents from Glan Rhos Care Home in Brynseincyn on the Isle of Anglesey. The local heritage that was most important to the residents was the Care Home building and island itself. Pixy Tom worked with residents over Zoom during the Covid19 pandemic to capture their memories, songs and chats about life in the Care Home, which he recorded and beautifully blended into the end of the instrumental piece, forming an emotive, dreamlike melody of voices alongside the piano which plays as though on an old gramophone. In it the residents can be heard sharing their concerns about the national lockdown, with the track itself becoming a musical time capsule for those involved.

Glan Rhos was built some 200 years ago as a smallholding and
was converted to a purpose built nursing home in 1989. It is located within its own well-maintained grounds, just outside the village of Brynsiencyn on the Isle of Anglesey, with magnificent views of the Snowdonia mountain range and the tranquil Anglesey countryside. They look after 52 residents.

Pixy Tom is a multi instrumentalist folk musician from the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. He plays fiddle, piano, banjo, clarinet, whistles and more. He joined Live Music Now in 2018.
